Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC) – one of the leading exporters of Iran had floated an export tender for billet and slabs of quantity 30,000 t each. According to sources reported to SteelMint, the company has concluded the billet tender at $375-380/t, FoB Iran for China, while the slab tender was concluded at $370-375/t, FoB Iran for SE Asia.
With this deal, the billet export offers from the country were reported to witness a marginal increase, and are currently at $370-380/t, up $5 against last week closing.
Before this, during end-May’20, the company had concluded the 30,000t billet export tender $360-365/t, FoB Iran for China.
Meanwhile, the country’s steel exports stood at 661,000 t to witness a y-o-y decline of 49%, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (21 Mar’20- 20 May’20). While billet exports were recorded at 343,000 t and that of the slab was recorded at 71,000t, Chilan report says
