June'13: India Manganese ore imports stood at around 1, 41,200 MT which is down by 25 – 30% m-o-m against 1,98,000 MT in May, according to provisional data released by Indian custom.
India Manganese Ore (June) imports is as follows:
South Africa (down by ~20% m-o-m) – quantity 1,02,800 MT
*Unit price: $ 263/MT (44% or more but below 46%) and $ 183/MT (35% or more but below 40%)
Gabon (up by ~22% m-o-m) – quantity 15,400 MT
*Unit price: $ 236/MT (40% or more but below 44%)
Australia (down by ~74% m-o-m) – quantity 9,750 MT
*Unit price: $ 234/MT (44% or more but below 46%)
The east coast of India, Kolkata port received 52,800 MT Manganese Ore only ,which is down by ~46% against 98,000 MT in May. Similarly, Paradip received 24,800 MT down by ~50% as compared to previous month. On the other side Vizag port received 62,750 MT of Manganese Ore up by ~31% against 47,600 MT in May.
