Tokyo Steel today observed another price hike for scrap purchase in a consistent rebound since last-week May, increasing bids by sharp JPY 1500/MT for Utsunomiya (Kanto) and Takamatsu works, and by JPY 1000/MT for the other three, from 9th-Jun’20. They’ll pay JPY 24,500 /MT ($215) for H2 delivered to Tahara (Central) while JPY24,500/MT and JPY22,000/MT to Utsunomiya and Okayama respectively.
