Brazil: Court orders Vale to suspend operations at Itabira Complex

Brazilian court ordered Vale to suspend operation at three of its mines in Itabira complex due to COVID-19 outbreak. There may be a temporary shortage of pellets for the domestic market, while the Itabira Complex shutdown remains, given that the complex provides pellet feed for the pelletizers of the Tubarao Complex. The Itabira complex produced 35.9 MnT of iron ore in 2019.
