Japan: Tokyo Steel increases scrap purchase bids by USD 5-9/MT

Tokyo Steel today observed its 6th successive price hike for scrap purchase over last two weeks, increasing bids by JPY 1000/MT for Utsunomiya (Kanto) and Kyushu works, and by JPY 500/MT for the other three, from 6th Jun’20. They’ll pay JPY 23,500 /MT ($215) for H2 delivered to Tahara (Central) while JPY23,000/MT and JPY21,000/MT to Utsunomiya and Okayama works respectively.
