In another deal reported this week, Vietnam based importers booked around 40,000 MT HRC from Russian major Severstal Steel at USD 425/MT CFR Vietnam basis for July shipment. The deal was concluded with Hoa Sen and Kim Quoc for July shipment, SteelMint learnt from its market participants.
Meanwhile, an India based steel mill booked 80,000 MT HRC at USD 430/MT CFR Vietnam basis. The nation increased HRC export offers on strong Chinese futures.
Other major deals reported last week from India
1. Steel mill based in western region booked around 20,000 MT of HRC to Vietnam at USD 420/MT CFR basis and 40,000 MT of HRC at USD 410/MT to China on CFR basis.
2. Another deal concluded by steel mill based in eastern India of around 25,000MT of HRC to Vietnam at USD 422-425/MT CFR basis.
3. A mill based in western region booked 50,000 MT of HRC to China at USD 422/MT CFR basis.
Current imported HRC offers to Vietnam
— China- Benxi Steel is offering USD 455/MT CFR basis. Previous offer- USD 445/MT CFR basis.
— South Korea- Hyundai Steel’s offer stands at USD 445/MT CFR basis. Previous offer- USD 440/MT CFR basis.
— Japan’s Nippon Steel’s offer continues to hover at USD 445/MT CFR basis.
