MSTC has declared Karnataka e-auction results held on 23, 24, 30 & 31 Dec, 2013. The total quantity of 244,000 MT Iron ore was sold by NMDC on 23 & 30 Dec e-auction out of 580,000 MT offered, other mines has sold 470,000 MT out of 654,000 MT.

NMDC Donimalai mines, Iron ore fines average booking price up by 44% in e-auction. Total quantities of 68,000 MT fines offered were sold out. JSW is the key buyer for the purchase of Iron ore lumps & fines. JSW purchased 88,000 MT of lumps and 40,000 MT of fines.
Iron ore lumps were sold on floor price out of 236,000 MT lumps only 96,000 MT were sold.Iron ore lumps booking price for Fe 62 grade was INR 3706/MT. Iron ore fines average floor price for Fe 60 grade was INR 2,050/MT and booking price was INR 3,500/MT.

In other mines and stockyard e-auction, 72,000 MT of the Iron ore was sold out of 128,000 MT offered quantity. Iron ore fines average price increased by 5.1% whereas Iron ore lumps sold on floor price. JSW was the main buyer with the purchase of total 48,000 MT of Iron ore.
Iron ore fines booking price for Fe 63 grade was INR 3,865/MT i.e. an increase of INR 310/MT. Iron ore lumps booking prices for same grade was INR 3,990/MT.

NMDC e-auction received a weak response in the e-auction only 80,000 MT of the material was sold, out of 276,000 MT of Iron ore offered. The key buyer for Iron ore fines was JSW with 32,000 MT, Xindia by 16,000 MT and BMM Ispat by 12,000 MT.
Just 4000 MT of Iron ore lumps were sold, out of 200,000 MT Iron ore Lumps offered. BMM Ispat was the only buyer for Iron ore lumps in the e-auction. Iron ore fines floor price for Fe 60 grade was INR 2,050/MT and booking price was INR 2708/MT. Iron ore lumps sold on floor price of INR 3706/MT for Fe 62 grade.

Iron ore fines average price increased by 8.29% in the e-auction whereas lumps price raised by 5.34%. Buyers bid high for the purchase of high grade lumps. R B Seth Shree Ram Narasingdas was the main buyer for the purchase of Iron ore lumps with 20,000 MT.
Sub grade Rom booking price was up by 59% from floor price of INR 1,400 to booking price INR 2230/MT and the only buyer for ROM in the e-auction was R B Seth Shree Ram Narasingdas. R B Seth purchased total quantity of ROM offered for sale i.e. 278,000 MT
Iron ore fines average floor price for Fe 65 grade is INR 4,200/MT purchased at INR 4210/MT. Iron ore Lumps booking price for same grade was INR 4,840/MT i.e. an increase of INR 540/MT in the floor price.
