Tokyo Steel today announced another price hike for domestic scrap purchase (4th successive hike in 10 days), by JPY 1000/MT for Tahara plant and JPY 500/MT for the other four, from 02 Jun’20. They’ll now pay JPY 22,500/MT (USD 209) for H2 delivered to Tahara (Central Japan) and JPY 21,000/MT and JPY 20,000/MT to Utsunomiya (Kanto) and Okayama respectively.
