As per the government’s data, Coal India’s coal allocation under e-auction scheme for non-power sector increased by three times Y-o-Y to 3.91 MnT in Apr’20 which was 1.20 MnT in Apr’19. This growth comes amid CIL looking to tap the non-power sector to consume its coal in the wake of a slump in demand for the dry fuel.
