India: Odisha Miners keep Iron Ore Prices unchanged for Jan 2014

Odisha miners have preferred to keep their Iron ore prices unchanged for the month of January, owing to stable demand in market.

Prices are reviewed twice in a month by the miners of Odisha. The current offers by major miners like Rungta mines for 5-18 mm and Fe 63 are at INR 6,800/MT. Whereas, Iron ore fines of Fe 63 grade is at INR 2,650/MT(Prices loaded to wagon, including Royalty).

Similarly, KJS Ahluwalia is offering lumps  of 5-18 mm and Fe 62 at INR 5,450/MT and the fines is being offered at INR 2,400/MT(Ex-mines Prices, including Royalty).

The prices of Iron ore lumps and fines were hiked by INR 200/MT in the last month by major miners like Rungta and Essel. While, during mid of December, Serajuddin mines also raised its prices by INR 510/MT and INR 760/MT (M-o-M) to INR 5,620/MT and INR 2,620/MT (Prices loaded to wagon, including Royalty) of 5-18 mm and fines respectively.

Serajuddin mines has received permission for mining 15 MnT Iron ore in FY15.

NMDC, India’s largest iron ore miner is likely to declare its prices tomorrow. It might roll over its prices for Jan 2014.  NMDC raised its priced by INR 200/MT in the month of December.
