Recent data released by Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) shows that China remains the top consumer of steel scrap, followed by EU, USA, Japan and Russia in 2019. Total scrap consumption of key steel producing counties stand at 490 MnT in 2019, higher by 3.4% against 2018.
