The Solid Waste & Chemicals Management Centre of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, China published the 6th batch of waste import quotas for 2020, SteelMint learned from the reports published yesterday. This is the second-largest bulk import reported in just 9 days as prior to this fifth batch’s report was published on 14th April’20.
According to the report, the batch allows a total of just 1,510 MT of steel scrap, forming a small fraction among other types of scrap including 2,150 MT of copper scrap, 1,030 MT of aluminium scrap and 124,080 MT of paper scrap registered in the list to enter china.
Jiangsu Tiangong Tools Co., Ltd was only the importer of steel scrap with two bulk vessels, carrying 360 MT and 1150 MT each. The bulk cargo will berth at Shanghai Port Waigaoqiao port area and Shanghai Port Shore Yangshan port area respectively in China.
