Majority of steel mills in Mandi Gobindgarh (Punjab) have decided to continue suspension of operations at mills despite the new government order. The state government on 20 Apr allowed steel mills to operate on few conditions.
The steel mills’ owners expressed their objection to those conditions that said the govt would take action against the mills if a worker tests positive for COVID-19.
