For the consecutive week, the billet import offers in the SE Asian region witnessed a drop, as the intensity of the COVID-19 outbreak is getting strengthened across the region, with every passing day. The major countries of the region are largely lockdown except Indonesia.
However, this week, billet offers from the Black Sea were noted to be at USD 365-370/MT, CFR Thailand. While that from India was reported to be USD 375/MT, CFR.
Meanwhile, SteelMint’s assessment for SE Asia billet import is assessed at USD 365-375/MT, down USD 5 against last week.
CIS billet export offers fall marginally- CIS billet export offers were reported to witness a marginal decline this week, and are now at USD 340/MT, FoB Black Sea, down USD 5 against last week. Significant deals were reported from Russia to China in the last couple of weeks at declining offers.
