Iron Ore Dispatches from Odisha to Stop Starting 24 Mar’20 Midnight – Sources

Following lockdown and with recent orders from collector, Odisha’s iron ore dispatches are likely to be stopped starting 24 Mar’20 midnight, SteelMint learned from its sources.

Odisha is India’s largest iron ore producing state and accounts for India’s 50% iron ore production. According to data maintained with SteelMint, iron ore movement from Odisha was recorded at 128 MnT in CY19. Odisha based units accounted for the largest share of nearly 58 MnT followed by West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand.
