Structure prices in Central and Western India remain unchanged for more than two weeks.
Low availability of buyers and high cost of Semi finish prices have restricted the price movements of Structure and it is firm for now. Prices in Mumbai are quoted same as that of last week. But, interestingly sellers have started offering discount of about INR 100-200/MT and for bulk purchases discount may rise up to INR 300-500/MT. Today Angle 40 mm is offered at about INR 35,000/MT in Mumbai.
Central India’s Structure manufacturers are consistently searching for projects to supply the material. Heavy Structure manufacturers are under pressure as the inventory level has increased. The pressure has stopped them from producing material in full capacity. According to a well known trader based at Raipur, “Bulk purchases are falling as only limited projects are operational but, retail buying is now improved. We expect that the market shows a little bit of improvement in coming days.” Angle 50 mm is now traded at INR 31,500/MT today.
