India: Jindal SAW Resumes Pellet Offer in Domestic Market

Western India based pellet maker – Jindal SAW has resumed pellet offers early this week after undergoing maintenance shutdown for the past one month. As per the sources, current offers of pellets are at INR 8,100/MT (delivered Kandla) against INR 8,350/MT a month back.

Spot global iron ore fines index down: The global iron ore fines prices (Fe 62%) decreased to USD 80.5/MT, CFR China yesterday (05th Feb) as against USD 93/MT, CFR China a month back. Prices have fallen amid limited trades over coronavirus outbreak. On weekly basis prices decreased by around USD 2/MT CFR China.

Jindal SAW runs a 1.5 MnT pellet plant in Bhilwara (Rajasthan).

Raipur based sponge makers book pellets from Odisha – Raipur based sponge makers are heard to have booked around 20,000 MT pellets from Odisha at INR 6,600/MT DAP Raipur. Raipur based major pellet makers are yet to announce fresh offers.
