NMDC’s total iron ore sales were recorded at 2.96 MnT for the month of Jan’20, down by 3% as compared to 3.04 MnT in Dec’19. The miner registered sales from Chhattisgarh mines at 2.4 MnT in Jan’20, against 2.45 MnT in Dec’19. Sales from Karnataka also moved down by 5% to 0.56 MnT in the month of Jan’20.
The miner increased base prices for both lumps and fines twice in Jan’20 in both Chhattisgarh and Karnataka.
However, on yearly basis, total iron ore sales for FY’20 (till Jan’20) moved up 3% Y-o-Y to 26 MnT.
NMDC iron ore production increased by 6% M-o-M in Jan’20
NMDC registered 6% increase in production for the month of Jan’20 to 3.31 MnT as against 3.13 MnT a month ago. Production from Chhattisgarh mines picked up by 5% M-o-M to 2.74 MnT, while it increased by 4% from Karnataka mines to 0.57 MnT.
