India’s domestic Ferro Manganese price stable; but outlook flat
Indian domestic Ferro Manganese market was relatively stable over the week, but one can’t exclude the possibility of a price-drop within the next week because of weak demand in the Finish Steel market. One Raipur based trader described the market as fragile, with the potential of a pricing downturn in the coming weeks. He further remarked that July is generally a dull month. The mainstream domestic price of HC Ferro Manganese 70% is around Rs. 53,000 /MT Ex-Works basis. “We have had no inquiries, nobody is calling us. It’s just been really dull this week,†revealed a Marketing Head of a major Ferro Manganese manufacturing Company. He further added that MOIL’s decision to roll over prices for the next quarter was a blessing in disguise, as it has lent support to Ferro Manganese prices. SteelMint assessed the buying interest to be subdued but prices to remain stable on account of low production.
