Exports of Pig iron from Ukraine have increased from the beginning of this year i.e. in the first four months.
A total of 649,300 MT of Pig iron was exported, an increase of 15.5% Y-o-Y. Whereas, imports came down by 72.9% Y-o-Y to 3,800 MT.
In the month of April alone, Ukraine exported 158,900 MT of Pig iron, up by 22.3% M-o-M.

Turkish Pig Iron Imports Drop in Jan-April '13
Pig iron imports to Turkey in January to April this year, dropped by 34.2% Y-o-Y to 328,787 MT.
Material was imported from – Ukraine 205,131 MT, down 38% Y-o-Y & from Russia 102,864 MT, down 23.8% Y-o-Y
In April alone, imports came down by 40% M-o-M and 61.6% Y-o-Y.
The average import price was $437/MT, fall of $41/MT ($478/MT) Y-o-Y.
The total value of imports slipped 37.5% M-o-M and 64.9% Y-o-Y to $22.5 million.
