Indian Billet Major NINL, keeps Price Unchanged for October'13 

Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL), a joint venture company of Metals Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL), a joint venture company of Metals and Minerals Trading Corporation of India (MMTC), Industrial Promotion & Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited (IPICOL), and Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) , which is operating a 1.1 MnT integrated steel plant at Cuttack (Odisha), has kept prices of Concast Steel Billet (Grade IS 2830) at similar levels of Rs 28,000/MT ex- works.


Previously, NINL had cut billet prices by Rs 1,000/MT on 26th September 2013 and offers were made at Rs 28,000/MT (Ex Plant Basis), which was applicable till 13th October 2013. According to company officials prices have been rolled over till 25 th Oct 2013.

Billet offers by other private manufacturers are available at almost similar price, which stands at around Rs 28,000- 29,000/MT on Ex-Works basis. According to trade sources, NINL billet prices are very competitive and should focus on exports as it has advantage of being closer to port.  


Difference between BIS grade and Commercial grade if percentage of Sulphur and Phosphorus content.
