Vietnam’s Hoa Phat produced more than 2.77 MnT of high quality construction steel to the market in CY’19, up 16.8% over the same period last year, company mentioned in a recent release. Out of the total quantity sold, includes over 0.26 MnT was exported to markets like Japan, Cambodia, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Australia, USA.
With this, Hoa Phat continues to affirm its leading position in construction steel market share in Vietnam.
Particularly in Dec’19, Hoa Phat’s construction steel sales reached 285,000 MT, up 33.7% compared to Dec’18 , exports reached 39,664 MT, up 81.8% over the same period.
In Dec’19, the southern region achieved sales volume of about 70,000 MT, nearly 3 times higher than the same period in CY’18. However, in CY’19 the highest sales volume of Hoa Phat construction steel in the South was recorded in Nov’19 with over 80,000 MT. According to Mr. Do Minh Quy – Director of Hoa Phat Construction Steel Branch in Ho Chi Minh City, the sales volume in the last 2 months of the year mentioned above is the record level, the highest ever.
Outlook – In the CY’20, Hoa Phat aims to achieve 3.5 – 3.6 MnT of construction steel, of which 1 MnT is in the south. In order to realize this growth target, Hoa Phat construction steel is speeding up the activities of preparing warehouses and ports,sponsoring the construction of solid bridges in western provinces etc
