Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a Government of India Enterprise and the major producer of Steel in India, floats open tender for appointment of conversion agent (CA) for production/conversion of TMT Bars at Hajipur (Bihar).
SAIL wants to set up TMT Bar mill of capacity 100,000 MT pa to be installed within 18 months from date of issue of Letter of Intent (LOI), as per requirements of SAIL under conversion arrangement at Hajipur (Bihar).
Eligibility of Tenderers:
- Tenderer should have turnover of INR 1 billion & above during any one year of last three Financial Year
- Tenderer should have produced at least 25,000 MT pa of Finished Steel product in any one year of the last 3 financial years
- CA have to obtain a license of either Thermex, Tempcore, Turboquench, Evcon or Stelmore processes for manufacture of TMT bars.
