As per the recent conversation with Vietnam based importers, Russia based MMK steel booked 20,000 MT of HRC for exports to Vietnam at USD 456/MT CFR, for Jan-Feb shipments.
Meanwhile, 10,000 MT of Indian origin HRC position cargoes has been booked by Vietnam based importers at around USD 460/MT CFR basis, this week.
Along with this, South Korea based Hyundai Steel has also booked HRC cargo for exports to Vietnam at USD 470/MT CFR basis, for Jan-end Feb deliveries. However, the sources couldn’t confirm the quantity till the time of publishing this article.
Current HRC offers to Vietnam-
1. HRC (SAE 1006) 2mm, Japan- Nippon steel offering at USD 480-490/MT CFR basis.
2. HRC (SAE 1006) 2mm, India- Indian steel mills offering at USD 470-475/MT CFR basis. Last week, offers stood at USD 460-465/MT CFR basis.
3. HRC (SAE 1006) 2mm, Brazil- Arcelor Mittal’s offers at USD 465/MT CFR basis.
4.HRC (SS 400) 2mm, China- Chinese steel mills offering at USD 480/MT CFR basis.
5. Vietnam’s domestic integrated steelmaker Formosa is offering HRC (skin pass, SAE 1006) at USD 470/MT CIF basis for Dec-Jan shipments.
