Billet: Yesterday, the ex-factory price of general carbon square billet in Tangshan, Changli and Qian‘an was settled at RMB 3,460/MT, down RMB 10/MT; today, steel market remain weak with plain transactions on billets and price of finished steel slightly slipped. Mill direct sales are smooth. The ex-warehouse spot price is offered at around RMB 3,520/MT tax-included with a few transactions. The billet inventory at warehouses of Xianggu Zhengfeng and Haiyi Hongrun is 67,800 MT, down 2,200 MT from last work day. The overall transactions on finished steel is weak and it is expected that billet price in the afternoon may go down by RMB 10-20/MT.
