Three Recyclers to Set Up Vehicle Recycling Unit in Thailand

Suzuki Shokai- a major recycling company in the Hokkaido region formed a joint venture with both Yoko Hidaka (Thailand) and Chiho Environmental Group (Hong Kong). The new JV will start working from Jan’20, focusing primarily on the recycling of the industrial motors scrap.

They announced establishing a new company “HIDAKA-CHIHO METAL RECYCLING” in Thailand.

Currently, the import restrictions by the Chinese (solid waste import ban list), many of scrap in the world is a problem to stay. Specifically, mainly in North America and Europe, industrial motor scraps such as automobiles, heavy machinery and office equipment are collected and sorted and dismantled in the Thai bonded area, and refined raw materials such as copper and non-ferrous metals are collected in China, India and Thailand.

Those three companies of Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong for this issue is aimed at solving problems by partnering the JV.

President Komatani said, “By partnering with two companies representing each country, we would like to become a global solution to global environmental problems and changes in the recycling environment”.
