Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), conducted auction from its central India based Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) for defective steel products on 23 Nov’19.
Out of 56,003.46 MT steel put up for auction, 4,347.48 MT (12 %) material was sold and 51,655.98 MT remained unsold.
The bids of billet (upto 110) were assessed at INR 25,600-25,800/ MT(EXW-Bhilai), Bids remained stable as average price in last e-auction (conducted on 15 Nov) for similar category stood around INR 25,700/MT. Spot billet prices moved up last week in Raipur by INR 300-400/MT W-o-W however trades remained limited..
In this auction entire quantity (of merchant mill , TMT Bar, Wire Rod, Billet, Slab) got booked.
