Indonesia: United Tractors’ Coal Output Rises 6.5% Y-o-Y in First Nine Months of 2019

PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), the heavy equipment, mining contracting and coal mining businesses handling subsidiary of Astra International, stated that its coal production has risen 6.5% year-on-year to 96.4 million tonnes (MnT) in the first nine months of this year (Jan-Sep’19), as compared to 90.5 MnT in the corresponding period of last year.

Moreover, the company’s overburden removal increased to 749.9 BCM (bank cubic meters) this year, from 717.6 BCM last year, as per a statement filed to Indonesia Stock Exchange on Thursday.

Furthermore, the company’s total coal sales, including coking coal, increased 11% year-on-year to 6.4 MnT in the first nine months of this year, against 5.8 MnT in the corresponding period of a year ago.

United Tractors produced coal through its wholly-owned subsidiary, PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA).

The company also announced that its net profit has decreased by 5% year-on-year to 8.6 trillion rupiah in the first nine months of this year over the year-ago period. Contrarily, however, its revenue increased by 7% year-on-year to 65.6 trillion rupiah in the January-September period this year.
