Thailand’s Ferrous Scrap & Semi Finish steel imports reported firm M-o-M in Sep’19, as per the custom data maintained by SteelMint.
Ferrous Scrap- Thailand’s ferrous scrap import is registered at 0.11 MnT in Sep’19, stable against previous month. However on yearly basis import plunged by 31.25% in Sep’19 against 0.16 MnT in Sep’18.
Semi Finish- The nation’s semi finish (Billet/Pig iron) import on monthly basis is 0.35 MnT in Sep’19, remained stable as against Aug’19. Meanwhile on yearly basis, imports surged by 25% in Sep’19 as compared to 0.28 MnT in Sep’18.
Finish Long Steel- On a monthly basis country’s import of finished long steel is registered at 0.12 MnT in Sep’19, up by 20% as against 0.1 MnT in Aug’19. In line on yearly premises imports enlarged by 71.43% in Sep’19 against 0.07 MnT in Sep’18.
Malaysia stood as a top exporter of finished long steel to Thailand and recorded at 0.03 MnT, followed by Japan and China at 0.02 MnT respectively during Sep’19.
Finish Flat Steel- Thailand’s finish flat steel imports declined by 20.25% to 0.63 MnT in Sep’19 against 0.79 MnT in Aug’19. Also on yearly premises, import down by 4.54% in Sep’19 as against 0.66 MnT in Sep’18.
Graphite Electrode- On a monthly basis country’s import of Graphite electrode is registered at 1,031 MT surged by 35% against 764 MT in Aug’19, on a yearly basis also import declined by 16.4% in Sep’19 as against 1,233 MT in Sep’18.
