According to the recent data released by World Steel Association (WSA), Taiwan’s crude steel output in Aug’19 witnessed at 1.89 MnT, decline 7.35% on yearly basis as against Aug’18 at 2.04 MnT.
— Taiwan coal imports have decreased 10.9% M-o-M to 5.87 MnT in Aug’19.
— Taiwan iron ore imports for Aug’19 recorded at 2.02 MnT, rise slightly as compared to 2.01 MnT in Jul’19. On yearly premises, imports stood up 7% as against 1.88 MnT in Aug’18.
— Taiwan ferrous scrap imports fall significantly in Aug’19.
— Billet imports plunged by 16.7% M-o-M & recorded five month low. The nation has imported about 0.25 MnT Billet in Aug’19 against 0.30 MnT in Jul’19. Taiwan has imported about 2.26 MnT billet in CY19 (Jan-Aug) & Russia was the major billet exporter, which exported about 1.17 MT (51.82%). Inline Japan exported around 0.78 MnT (34.55%).
— Taiwanese Ferro alloys imports decreased by 13.6% in Aug’19 M-o-M.
