Iran: Mobarakeh remains the Largest Finished Steel Producer

Iran’s steel production has registered a Y-o-Y growth 6.43% during the first six months of the current Persian year (March 21-Sept. 22). The country’s steel production was recorded at 23.26 MnT (including small-scale as well as heavyweight producers) during the first six months of the current Persian year (March 21-Sept. 22) .According to the Iranian Steel Producers Association’s latest report, semi-finished steel made up 13.08 MnT of the total output, up 6% Y-o-Y.

As for finished steel, output increased by 8% Y-o-Y to 10.17 MnT.

MSC finished steel production up 3% – Mobarakeh Steel Company (MSC) had the largest share of steel production during the period under review. The company produced 4.34 MnT of finished steel during the period, up 3% Y-o-Y.

Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) stood the second largest finished steel producer during the period under review with 1.13 MnT and has registered the 5% Y-o-Y growth.

Oxin Steel Company has booked the 14% Y-o-Y growth and stood third in finished steel production with 421,914 MT.

MSC remained the largest semi finished steel producer – MSC remained the largest semi finished steel producer at 4.72 MnT. Following MSC in this category was KSC with 1.9 MnT (unchanged YOY), followed by ESCO with 1.2 MnT (up 7% YOY), South Kaveh Steel Company with 590,515 tons (up 23% YOY).
