As per data maintained with SteelMint Czech Republic’s steel import log for Aug’19 is as follows:
1: The nation’ s iron ore import fell by 10% M-o-M in Aug’19 to 3,88,797 MT as against 4,32,139 MT in Jul’19. However, it plunged by 23% Y-o-Y in comparison with 5,04,811 MT in Aug’18.
2: On a monthly premise, Czech Republic’s finish-long imports tumbled by 12% to 84,596 MT in Aug’19 over 95,944 MT in the preceding month. Although the same declined by 15% Y-o-Y as compared to 99,568 MT in the corresponding month of CY’18.
3: The nation’s finish-flat imports inched down by 1% to 3,32,554 MT in Aug’19 over 3,36,118 MT in the previous month. However, on a yearly premise, it was reduced by 13% in Aug’19 over 3,81,834 MT in Aug’18.
The decline in the nation’s finish-flat imports came amid reduced demand in construction and automobile industries.
Meanwhile, prolonged US-China trade spat led to weaker market sentiments in Germany, Poland, and Italy. This reduced the nation’s import volumes from major exporting nations.
