Steel export volumes from Iran have reported a sharp hike in sixth month of current Persian year. The country exported around 584,000 MT of steel products during the sixth Iranian calendar month of (August 23-September 22), which is 60% more than the figure of the same month in the past year, IRIB reported on Wednesday citing the data released by Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
SteelMint has reported earlier that Iran is actively exporting steel billets to China, Far east and Gulf countries.
As per the IMIDRO data, the country has exported around 3.4 MnT of steel products during the first half of this year (March 21-September 22) up 3% Y-o-Y.
In the inauguration ceremony of a copper concentrate plant in the northeastern city of Ahar, Mining and Trade Minister Reza Rahmani mentioned in the remarks that, the country has witnessed a growth of 6.5 % in crude steel output, 9.1 % rise in production of steel products during the first six-month of this year.
