Today Tangshan government issued notice to initiate grade II emergency response in countering heavy polluting weather and it is effective from 20:00 Oct 15 until further notified.
Key points include those mills categorized as A level will limit production at discretion. Those belongs to B level must stop sintering, pelletizinng process and lime Kiln. Coking chamber of 6m length or above must extend coking time to 28 hours while smaller facility extend to 36 hours.
Those belongs to c level will limit 50% blast furnace capacity while implementing all requirements on level b. those B and C level mills will resume 50% pelleting and sintering after 120 hours to ensure feed of blast furnace. Short route steelmaking, independent sintering, pelleting and rolling mills should stop production.
