SteelMint in conversation with market participants learned that Durgapur (eastern India) based pellet manufacturers have decreased their offers by INR 300-400/MT. Current offers for Fe 63% grade stands at INR 5,200-5,300/MT (ex-Durgapur, GST extra) as against last assessment at INR 5,500-5,700/MT towards the beginning of this week. On weekly basis, prices have dropped sharply as compared to INR 5,700-5,800/MT assessed last week.
P-DRI prices witnessed sharp drop to INR 15,600/MT on weekly basis as compared to INR 16,100/MT assessed last week
Market participants are expecting reduction in Odisha iron ore prices soon.
Prices for Central and Southern India based pellet plants witnessed stable for the week at INR 6200/MT (ex-plant, Raipur) and INR 6250/MT (ex-Bellary) respectively.
