Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC) – one of the leading exporters of Iran had invited a billet export tender of quantity 40,000 MT of size 150*150 mm and 130*130 mm for early Oct’19 shipment. As per market sources, the company has concluded the tender. The deal value was reported to be USD 387/MT, FoB Iran.
SteelMint’s billet export assessment for Iran stands at USD 385-390/MT, FoB Iran down by USD 5/MT against last week.As per Financial Tribune, exports of semi finished products from Iran were recorded at 1.42 MnT which is 65.27% of the total export. Billet and bloom occupied the largest share of semis export with an aggregate 904,000 MT.
Iran’s apparent steel usage stood at 5.21 MnT for semis, up 17%; and hit 4.6 MnT for finished products, up 9% Y-o-Y. While for semis, usage of billet and bloom grew 31% to 3.03 MnT, while that of slab dropped 2% to 2.17 MnT.
