Czech Republic finish long imports rise 11% M-o-M in May’19- Nation’s finish long imports stood at 0.1 MnT in May’19; registered an increase by 11% on monthly basis as compared to 0.09 MnT in Apr’19.
However on yearly basis the same remained stable in May’18 and May’19.
During first five months (Jan-May) CY’19 nation’s finish long imports accounted for 0.46 MnT, fell by 10% in comparison to 0.51 MnT in (Jan-May) CY’18.
Country-wise Czech Republic finish long imports in May’19- Poland remained the major supplier to Czech Republic and accounted for 0.04 MnT in May’19, upsurged by 33% as against 0.03 MnT in previous month.
Following this nation also imported from Germany and Italy at 0.02 MnT each in May’19.
Czech Republic flat steel imports up by 10% M-o-M in May’19- Nation’s flat steel imports witnessed an increase by 10% in May’19 to 0.43 MnT which was 0.39 MnT in previous month.
Germany and Italy remained the major exporting nations of Czech Republic in May’19. As per market reports, local demand in Germany and Italy remained weak amid slowdown in manufacturing and auto sector. Further, limited working days owing to holidays scheduled in the month of April to beginning of May’19 kept demand in Italy on the lower side. Thus weakening sentiments in major exporting nations in-turn resulted to surge in flat steel imports to Czech Republic.
Meanwhile on yearly premise nation’s imports registered an uptick by 5% in May’19 as against 0.41 MnT in May’18.
During first five months (Jan-May’19) nation’s imports stood at 2.05 MnT; remained largely stable against 2.04 MnT in same time frame of previous year.
Country-wise Czech Republic flat steel imports in May’19- Czech Republic majorly imports from Germany and accounted for 0.12 MnT in May’19, upsurged by 33% as against 0.09 MnT a month earlier.
Following this nation’s import from Slovakia recorded at 0.08 MnT, Poland 0.04 and Austria at 0.03 MnT in May’19.
Meanwhile Czech Republic also imported flat steel from Italy, Hungary, France and Serbia in May’19.
