World’s one of the leading coal producers, US’s weekly coal production totaled approximately 19.5 million metric short tons (mmst). Production has decreased by 1.3% in comparison to last week and down by 0.7% from comparable weeks in 2012, reported by the US government agency for the week ended on 16 Nov, 2013.
Coal production from east of the Mississippi River totaled 8.0 mmst and production from west of the Mississippi River totaled 11.5 mmst.
United States total coal production including Coking, Non-coking, Anthracite reached to 881.1 mmst which dropped by 1.9% in comparable year-to-date (YTD) coal production in 2012.
