India: KIOCL Invites Tender to Purchase 50,000 MT Iron Ore Concentrate

State-owned, KIOCL has invited a tender for purchase of 50,000 DMT (dry metric tonne) iron ore concentrate-Haematite. Iron ore concentrate-Haematite is required from indigenous sources for use in pellet plant at Mangalore, India as per specification.

Interested parties are asked to quote prices on “CFR, New Mangalore Port, India” basis, including all taxes & statutory levies as applicable and freight charges and excluding applicable GST.

Validity: The offer to be kept valid for 10 days from the date of opening of the techno-commercial tenders. Tenders with inadequate validity will be rejected.

Due Date: Interested bidders can submit their bids till 14 Jun’19 at 14:00 hrs and techno-commercial bids will open on the same day at 15:00 hrs.

Market Overview: KIOCL has signed a tripartite MoU with Emirates Steel, Abu Dhabi, and Star Global, Dubai for sale of high-grade pellets to Emirates Steel. KIOCL is working to increase its pellet production by 20% in FY20 at Mangaluru plant, which has an installed capacity of 3.5 MnT. Company’s production has recorded at 2.24 MnT, above the set target of 2.17 MnT in FY’19.
