Czech Republic Finish long exports surged by around 17% on a quarterly basis and registered at 0.49 MnT in Q1 CY’19 against 0.42 MnT in Q4 CY’18.
In line, monthly premises exports moved up by around 7% and observed at 0.16 MnT in Mar’19 against 0.15 MnT in Feb’19.
Factors behind rising exports attributed to better procurement from Germany amid considerable spending from the ministry of transport along with trade associations and stake holders for inland waterway transport as the plan already initiated under a year ago.
On contrary, yearly premises exports narrowed down by 11.12% and stood at 0.16 MnT in Mar’19 against 0.18 MnT in Mar’18.
Commodity wise- Rebar exports surged by 26% and stood at 0.29 MnT in Q1 CY’19 against 0.23 MnT in Q4 CY’18 followed by Structure – 0.11 MnT in Q1 CY’19 rose by 10% against 0.10 MnT in Q4 CY’18 and Wire Rod – 0.08 MnT in Q1 CY’19 remain unchanged against previous quarter.
Country Wise- The major exports of Finish Long Steel is notified to Germany and recorded at 0.13 MnT in Q1 CY’19 surged by 30% against 0.10 MnT in Q4 CY’18 followed by Slovakia – 0.10 MnT in Q1 CY’19 and Poland – 0.08 MnT in Q1 CY’19 which remain are unchanged respectively.
Scrap
Ferrous scrap exports declined by 5.56 % in Q1’CY19 – Czech Republic exported 0.51 MnT of ferrous scrap in Q1 CY’19, fell by 5.56% against 0.54 MT in Q4 CY’18.
On contrary, yearly exports surged by 12% and registered at 0.19 MnT in Mar’19 against 0.17 MnT over a year ago and monthly basis exports stood at 0.19 MnT in Mar’19 which is elongated by 18.75% against 0.16 MnT in Feb’19.
Country wise- Germany remained the largest scrap importer occupying a share of 38 % in total exports from the Czech Republic in Q1 CY’19 and imported 0.19 MnT in Q1 CY’19, witnessing a fall of 13.63 % Q-o-Q from 0.22MnT in Q4 CY’18 followed by Poland – 0.13 MnT up 8%, Austria – 0.07 MnT, up by 40 % (Q-o-Q).
