South India (Karnataka) based – NMDC Donimalai Pellet Plant keeps base price stable for pellets at INR 7,030/MT. Current offers are on FoT basis for Fe 64% pellets for a quantity of 12,000 MT on advance payment basis. The price validity is till 31 May’19.
Towards beginning of the month, the miner had reduced pellet offer by INR 370/MT to INR 7,030/MT (FoT basis) as against last offer at INR 7,400/MT (FoT basis). In the latest price circular floated, the company has kept offers unchanged for rest of the month.
NMDC Ltd is operating 1.2 MnT pa capacity pellet plant located at Donimalai, Karnataka.
Southern India (Bellary) pellet offers for Fe 63% grade picked up slightly to INR 7,100/MT as against INR 7,050/MT in last week. Bellary P-DRI prices on 21st May 2019 also picked up by about INR 200/MT at INR 18,600/MT.
Iron ore operations at NMDC’s Donimalai mine are still on hold, which had renewed lease on 3rd Nov’18 for the next 20 years. But the state govt. put the additional condition to pay 80% premium on iron ore sale value from Donimalai to the Karnataka state Govt. The case was filed in the high court and both the side had kept their conclusive remark in the High Court. Judgement is still awaited, no date has been revealed.
NMDC Donimalai has EC limit of 7 MnT p.a. and produces around 6-6.5 MnT iron ore annually.
