Meanwhile on yearly premise nation’s billet exports slashed significantly in Apr’19 from 0.09 MnT in corresponding month of previous year.
During first four month (Jan-Mar) CY’19 nation’s billet export volumes plunged by 56% to 0.12 MnT as compared to 0.27 MnT in same time frame of previous year
Country-wise South Korea billets exports in Apr’19- South Korea’s billet exports to Japan halved from 0.02 MnT in Mar’19 to 0.01 MnT in Apr’19.
Nation’s billet exports to Indonesia accounted for 0.01 MnT in Apr’19.
South Korea finish long exports decline by 10% M-o- M in Apr’19- Nation’s finish long exports stood at 0.19 MnT in Apr’19 down by 10% on monthly basis as compared to 0.21 MnT in Mar’19.
Meanwhile on yearly basis nation’s finish long exports plunged by 24% in Apr’19 which was 0.25 MnT in Apr’18.
During first four months (Jan-Apr) CY’19 nation’s finish long exports volumes accounted for 0.79 MnT declined by 8% in comparison to 0.86 MnT in corresponding time frame of previous year.
Country-wise South Korea finish long exports in Apr’19- South Korea majorly exports finish long steel to Vietnam and stood at 0.02 MnT in Apr’19; remained stable since Feb’19.
Other major nations importing finish long steel from South Korea involved Malaysia 0.02 MnT, Japan 0.03 MnT, Canada 0.02 followed by USA, Taiwan and India at 0.01 MnT each in Apr’19.
Meanwhile Thailand, Philippines and Saudi Arabia also imported finish long steel from South Korea in smaller quantities in Apr’19.
South Korea flat steel exports inch up by 1% M-o-M in Apr’19- Nation’s flat steel exports recorded 2 MnT in Apr’19, inched up by 1% in comparison to 1.98 MnT in previous month.
Nation majorly export flat steel to China. However in the month of April, China’s domestic demand remained strong amid bullish market sentiments and higher steel prices. On the other hand Korea actively exported flat steel to Indian steel mills amid cost effective imports compared to domestic prices. Also nation’s flat steel exports increased amid robust domestic demand from construction and automobile sectors in Japan.
Meanwhile on yearly premise nation’s flat steel exports ascended by 16% in Apr’19 as against 1.72 MnT in corresponding month of preceding year.
During first four month (Jan-Apr) CY’19 nation’s exports accounted for 8.14 MnT, marginally rose by 2% from 7.98 MnT in same time frame of previous year
Country-wise South Korea flat steel exports in Apr’19- China being the major importer of South Korea flat steel accounted for 0.3 MnT in Apr’19, slumped by 20% in comparison to 0.25 MnT in previous month.
Other major countries importing flat steel from South Korea included Japan at 0.24 MnT, India at 0.22 MnT, USA at 0.15 MnT followed by Mexico 0.14 MnT and Thailand 0.17 MnT in Apr’19.
Other countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, Italy, Belgium and Malaysia also imported flat steel from South Korea in smaller quantities in Apr’19.
South Korea ferro alloy exports remain stable M-o-M in Apr’19- South Korean Ferro Alloys export reported at 0.02 MnT in Apr’19, remain unchanged over previous month.
However, on yearly premise nation’s exports remained stable in Apr’19 as compared to 0.02 MnT in Apr’18.
During first four months (Jan-Apr) CY’19 exports accounted for 0.07 MnT, stable as compared to same period of previous year.
South Korea majorly exported ferro alloy steel to United States, Netherlands and Indonesia in Apr’19.
South Korea finish flat stainless steel export drops 8% M-o-M in Apr’19- Nation’s finish flat stainless steel accounted for 0.11 MnT in Apr’19 as compared to 0.12 MnT in preceding month.
Meanwhile Y-o-Y basis the same decline by 15% in Apr’19 compared to 0.13 MnT in Apr’18.
During first four months of Jan- Apr’19 the same stood at 0.48 MnT.
Country-wise finish flat stainless exports in Apr’19- South Korea’s finish flat stainless steel exports to Vietnam, Thailand and Turkey account for 0.02 MnT each; followed by Japan, Italy, India and Mexico at 0.01 MnT each in Apr’19.
