Ferro Silicon Prices in India remains under-pressure in line with limited demand in the domestic market. However, few producers also reported that they previously experienced steady demand and are mostly sold out. Producers in Bhutan are optimistic that demand should soon come back to the market.
Producers from Bhutan are offering Ferro Silicon (HC 70%) at INR 71,000/MT Ex- Bhutan. Ferro Silicon prices Ex-Guwahati(HC 70%) is also at INR 71,000/MT. In the export market, prices for HC 75% remained unchanged at USD 1160/MT FOB Kolkata, and USD 1145/MT FOB China.
On the future outlook, there are several factors that could affect the future pricing of Ferro Silicon. On one hand, there is strong possibility that the Bhutanese Producers can receive demand from USA, whereas, on the other hand there is also a possibility that cheaper material from China may come in to India. Therefore, a closer look at the market situation is important.
