Billet: Yesterday the ex-factory price of general carbon billet in Tangshan, Changli and Qian’an areas was settled at RMB 3,530/MT up RMB 20. In the early morning, the Changli area led a gain of RMB 20 to RMB 3,550/MT. The billet transactions are plain while price of finished product mainly tend to go up. Mill direct sales are smooth. The ex-warehouse spot is at RMB 3,630-3,640/MT tax-inclusive with some transactions. The overall shipment of finished products is moderate and it is expected that the price of billets may rise in the afternoon.
Construction steel: The market mainstream price rose by RMB 10-20 and the current market price of rebar HRB 400 of big specification is at RMB 3,970/MT, small specification at RMB 4,040/MT, while coiled rebar at RMB 4,080/MT.
HRC: Hot-rolled flat sheet rose by RMB 10 in Tangshan, with price of 1,500 mm wide flat sheet by first-tier steel mills offered at RMB 3,890/MT, second-tier steel mills at RMB 3,880, while Q 345 flat sheet at RMB 4,060/MT.
