Spain Finished Steel Exports Statistics- Feb’19

In the month of Mar’19, the crude steel production of Spain was around 1,371,000 MT and in CY19 (Jan-Mar) it was approximately 3,686,000 MT. Meanwhile, in CY18 (Jan-Mar) the figure of crude steel production stood at 3,595,000 MT, according to the World Steel Association.

In Feb’19, Spain majorly exports Finished flat steel to France (33%), Portugal (11%) & Morocco(11%). Inline Finished long steel it largely exported to France (21%), Portugal (12%) & United Kingdom (9%) in the month.

Spain Flat steel exports decline by 20% M-o-M in Feb’19

Nation’s flat steel exports fall by 19.6% on monthly basis to 178,688 MT in Feb’19 in comparison with 222,245 MnT in Jan’19.

Whereas on yearly premises the exports registered a decrease of 10.9% in Feb’19 against 200,600 MT in Feb’18.

Major flat steel importing nations in Jan-Feb’19 included France at 117,033 MT and Portugal 42,369 MT. Other major importing nations include Morocco and Italy at 35,951 MT & 30,897 MT of flat steel imports from Spain.

Spain Finished Long steel exports inched up 18.6% M-o-M in Feb’19

Country’s long steel exports in Feb’19 stood at 438,568 MT, increased by 18.6% as compared to 369,838 MT in Jan’19.

Inline, on yearly premises exports rise by 12.4% in Feb’19 as compared to 390,227 MT in Feb’18.

Major finished long steel buyers of Spain were France at 179,871 MT, Portugal 81,934 MT,United Kingdom 86,332 MT and Belgium 59,657 MT in Feb’19.
