Bahrain iron ore imports in Feb’19 recorded at 0.72 MnT, down 27% as against 0.98 MnT in Jan’19. On yearly basis, imports witnessed significant rise by 53% as compared to 0.47 MnT in Feb’18.
Brazilian exports to Bahrain recorded at 0.33 MnT, down 60% against 0.82 MnT in Jan’19, followed by Sweden at 0.17 MnT which was nil last month.
Bahrain recorded first iron ore export shipment in Feb’19
Bahrain iron ore & pellet exports in Feb’19 recorded at 0.65 MnT, up 8% M-o-M as against 0.60 MnT in Jan’19. As per data maintained with SteelMint, Bahrain recorded first iron ore export shipment to Saudi Arabia for 0.11 MnT in Feb’19 since 2013.
Oman stood largest importer from Bahrain for the month at 0.34 MnT, up significantly against 0.07 MnT a month ago, followed by Saudi Arabia at 0.23 MnT.
