Indonesia: Arutmin Aims for 32 MnT Coal Output in CY19

PT Arutmin Indonesia, a coal operating unit of PT Bumi Resources (BUMI), has set coal production target at 32 MnT in CY19, Katadata reported citing Ido Hotna Hutabarat, chief executive officer of the company as saying on Tuesday.

The output target was set about 19% higher year-on-year from last year’s total of 27 MnT.

The company’s coal sales are also expected to increase this year, Hutabarat said without providing the number.

The company will sell 8 MnT of its coal in the domestic market, as a part of the domestic market obligation (DMO) Most Indonesian coal miners sell their coal to state utility company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara or PLN under DMO.

Arutmin Indonesia has coal mining concession areas in Tanah Bumbu, Tanah Laut and Kota Baru in South Kalimantan province.

PT Kaltim Prima Coal is another coal operating unit of PT Bumi Resources.
