South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL) has created a new milestone for coal dispatch in a single day, beating its previous record being set a few days ago.
The coal company has dispatched 512,225 MT of coal on Thursday i.e. on 7 Mar’19, which was the highest ever total attained in a single day since its inception.
On the same day, SECL also recorded the highest single day coal production for the FY19. The coal production on the day was 585,000 MT.
The company’s previous record of highest ever dispatch of coal in a single day was on 20 Feb’19. On that day it had dispatched 500,000 MT of coal.
SECL chairman and Managing director Mr. A.P. Panda congratulated all the employees and management and says to continue the hard work to achieve goal targeted by the company.
The company has been continuously raising its standard in term of annual coal production and dispatch. In the previous fiscal FY18, it had produced 144.71 MnT coal while dispatch stood at 151.1 MnT.
During the first 11 months of FY19 (Apr’18-Feb’19), SECL’s coal production and dispatch has reached 138.45 MnT and 141.26 MnT respectively.
