Brazil: Manganese Ore Exports Inched Up By 2% M-o-M

Brazilian Manganese Ore Exports went up by 2% from 330,830MT in  Dec’18 to 356,075MTin Jan’19.

China and Uruguay being the two major importers of Brazilian Manganese Ore lowered their imports by 8.39% and 2.67% respectively. Imports from South Korea and China may have suffered as due to stocking piling of inventories for using up in the Chinese New year Festival had been completed in the previous month.

China accounted for 69% of the shares in the Brazilian Manganese Ore while India and Uruguay stood for 9% each. Falling ore prices, made a significant increase in the Indian Imports of Brazilian Manganese Ores. Indian imports from Brazil for Jan’19 was 30,751MT which accounted for a 475.22% rise. Saudi Arabia and United States were recorded to import 27,326MT and 17,600 MT of Manganese Ore respectively.
