Rebar offers by mid sized mills in Bangladesh have remained unchanged this week amid limited deals of finished steel reported among participants.
As per weekly analysis, SteelMint learned that few mills are having slightly higher inventory levels as medium scale mills have raised their production levels as reported earlier.
One of the largest integrated plants has shared that “finished steel demand is getting placed on an average basis and rebar prices should move up to certain level due to high raw material prices”
As per assessment, currently the local Rebar prices in Dhaka, Bangladesh through the mid size mills are hovering at BDT 58,500-59,000/MT (USD 698-703) as against last week for 500W. The prices are ex-works, including local taxes & size 8-32 mm.
Further, large producers stated firm Rebar offers at BDT 63,000-65,000/MT (USD 751-775) against last week offers, ex-works, including local taxes & size 8-32 mm.
Recent price assessment of Bangladeshi Billet being shows minor price variation against last week which differs from plant to plant and is registered around BDT 50,000-51,000/MT (USD 596-608) ex-works.
Sponge iron import offers in Bangladesh: Indian sponge iron export offers to Bangladesh reported around at USD 335-340/MT and prices improved by about USD 5/MT in last 4-5 days and as per sources while previous deal was concluded at USD 330/MT, CFR Chittagong.
